How much are U.S. companies spending to boost their brand? The graphic explains who the top ten U.S. advertising spenders, based on their advertising expenditure in all media – from television to the Internet. These mega brands spend billions of dollars each year on advertising.

Additionally the graphic shows the ad spend divided up for each of the franchises of these mega brands. Most notably, Proctor and Gamble came in as the top U.S. ad spender in 2009 by spending $4.18 billion on media.
