It’s no surprise that social media takes up a larger part of a marketer’s day than it did even a year ago. However, the massive amount of time marketers are dedicating to social media these days is no indication that they are doing it right. In fact, I would bet that in most cases the more time a marketer spends on social media, the less likely they are to actually have a strategy at all. Many marketers don’t know how to tackle the mountain that is social media and wind up wasting a lot of time haphazardly updating and monitoring their social presence.
A winning social media strategy is all about working smarter, not harder. Unless you are an enterprise level company, all you need to truly rock your social media is 30 minutes a day. With automation tools like Pardot to take care of many of the time consuming and repetitive tasks, all that you need is a well defined daily plan and some self discipline.
