Internet Search: Google’s Hummingbird Will Do Better – Infographic

googles-hummingbird-algorithm--whats-it-all-about_525b836632977

In their attempt to make search better, Google came up with a new algorithm for its search engine. Hummingbird represents nothing new in the search industry. 20 years ago, smaller engines, later bought by Microsoft, Google and other tech firms were using conceptual search already, and they delivered better results.

Hummingbird focus is on the meaning of the search term, so if you are looking for a bank in South Beach, Florida, you won’t run into results that show you sandbanks at the beach (you get the idea).

In my opinion, this is an effort Google, and others, should have invested in much earlier.  Have a look.
